Chico, CA – Chico Creative Reuse announces the launch of its Reuse &Thrift Market, a community event series happening Thursdays 5pm – 7pm, inSeptember (September 4, 11, 18, and 25) at 603 Orange Street.

As a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving materials a second life,Chico Creative Reuse collects donations of new and gently used items,redirecting them back into the community for art. The Reuse & Thrift Marketreflects this mission by showcasing creative possibilities for reimagined andrepurposed goods.

Each Thursday, attendees can look forward to:

Unique shopping with a mix of upcycled goods, vintage clothing, thriftedtreasures, handmade art and fun finds.

Live entertainment, featuring local musicians who bring vibrant energy tothe evening.

Interactive activities designed to spark imagination and inspire all ages tosee everyday materials in new and inventive ways.

A lively, welcoming atmosphere that blends the joy of a market with theheart of a community gathering.

“The Reuse & Thrift Market is more than shopping—it’s about creativity,community, and sustainability,” says Luann Manss, Director of Chico CreativeReuse. “We want people to leave not only with unique finds, but also with freshinspiration for how they can reuse and rethink the materials around them.”

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health First Aid is a FREE training that gives peoplethe skills to identify, understand and respond to people experiencing a mentalhealth, substance use or suicide challenge.

Who should take the training? Everyone. It is not just for professionals.Community members, parents, volunteers, and more, will gain useful knowledgeand confidence to help someone in crisis.

Youth Mental Health First Aid:

* Is designed for adults who regularly interact with young people
* Introduces common mental health challenges for youth
* Reviews typical adolescent development
* Teaches how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations
* Includes anxiety, depression, substance use, self-harm, suicide, psychosis,ADHD, eating disorders, and more

Chico Women's Club Hosts Laurie Dana Friends and Sapphire Soul Revival
Chico Women's Club, 592 E 3rd St, Chico, CA 95928, USA

Local music lovers are in for a rare treat when four members of Sapphire Soul reunite for a one-night-only revival performance following a piano-driven set featuring Laurie Dana and an ensemble of talented musicians. The double-feature concert takes place September 26, 7PM, at Chico Women’s Club, 592 E. 3rd Street, Chico and will help raise money for the venue’s recent floor replacement.
The evening promises two distinct sets of music:
• Laurie Dana & Friends – A cabaret-style set highlighting Laurie Dana’s bluesy, soulful voice and distinctive piano style. Joining her are Eric Weber, Pamela Kather, Gordy Ohliger, Clay Walton-Haddock, Holly Taylor, Lydia Cooley, Dana Hansen, and others TBA.
• Sapphire Soul Revival – Four members of the beloved band reunite, bringing back their signature soulful, high-energy sound. Adding zest to the already spirited dynamic, Eric Weber join original members Bobby Delgado, Mike Bassi, John James and Laurie Dana.
• Plus: Pre-show entertainment by Peter and Tricia Berkow.
